Ken Sieloff is in his fifth year as a music educator and is in his fourth year of teaching choir in Odessa. Originally from the beautiful state of Michigan, Mr. Sieloff earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Michigan where he studied voice with Professor Martha Sheil, and sang with a number of choral ensembles including the University Choir, Chamber Choir, and Men’s Glee Club. Before moving to Texas, Mr. Sieloff previously taught band and choir in Michigan at East Jackson MS/HS in Michigan. Ensembles under Mr. Sieloff’s direction have consistently earned superior ratings in both concert and sight reading.
In addition to his career as a music educator, Mr. Sieloff is recognized as a talented conductor. While at the University of Michigan, he competed in the American Choral Directors Association’s National Student Conducting Competition in Chicago, IL and took first place. Mr. Sieloff has had the privilege of conducting a number of musical theatre productions including a 2013 production of Sweeney Todd at Odessa College which featured New York City Metropolitan Opera baritone Gary Simpson. Mr. Sieloff currently serves as Artistic Director and Conductor of the Allegro Chorale in Midland/Odessa and is the Music Director for an upcoming production of A Little Night Music at the Permian Playhouse.
